Basic Crochet Workshop on Dec. 14 at Quezon City

My last basic crochet workshop for the year will be on Dec. 14 (Sat), 4:00 - 6:00 PM, at PIPINO Vegetarian (Malingap St., Quezon City). This workshop is for beginners and is a good introduction to crocheting.

Workshop fee is P1,500. Fee is inclusive of a crochet starter kit made up of a 6-pc. set of Susan Bates Silvalium crochet hooks, a sampler set of 4 colors of Red Heart Super Saver, a yarn and thread cutter, patterns, and illustrated stitch guide. Snacks prepared by PIPINO Vegetarian will also be served. Our goal is for you to make a granny square motif (as seen on the poster). This is a simple but classic crochet motif piece that is friendly to beginners.

Workshop is for 2 hours, but participants will get additional guidance (beyond the workshop schedule) in another area within the same venue (basically, we'll just move to another area within PIPINO's facility). Basic Crochet Workshop in Alabang on Nov. 23!

I am finally having my first Basic Crochet Workshop in Alabang! It will be on Nov. 23 (Sat), 2:00 - 6:00 PM, at Designer Blooms Cafe. This workshop is for beginners and is a good introduction to crocheting.

I will also have a pop-up yarn booth on that day! If you want to get your yarn fix and see and feel the yarn I am offering at my online store, do drop by! Amigurumi Workshop at Craft MNL on June 22!

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting (or knitting) stuffed animals or anthropomorphic creatures (or objects). Learn how to crochet an amigurumi creation and get tips on how to create your very own!

Workshop is on June 22 (Sat.) from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Craft MNL.

Participants must have basic experience of crochet. When I mean basic, if you know how to make a chain, do single and double crochets, and slip stitches, you're qualified! We want to make sure that we make good use of our workshop time by teaching you an amigurumi pattern and tips on how to eventually create your own. We'll cover amigurumi basics.

Workshop fee is P1,500. This is already inclusive of your very own amigurumi kit: 10 sets of acrylic yarn, double-ended steel hook, fiberfill, tapestry needle, stitch marker, scissors, patterns, and 5 pairs of googly eyes.

Yummy Kit For My Workshop This May!

I started to assemble a sample kit for my 2-Part Beginners' Crochet Workshop on May 4 & 11.

And I must say...it's looking pretty good!

Apart from the awesome yarn you will be getting from Red Heart® and Cannon®, you will be getting a pompom and tassel maker, a set of 12 hooks (see below), and important notions for every crocheter - like scissors and stitch markers (plus others). See that pretty case in the box? That's a special case for all your hooks and notions. Now that should make every crocheter giddy :) See the dangling crocheted earrings on the box? Yep, every participant also gets a special gift from me - a pair of crocheted earrings (well, if I get a guy participant, he can give it as a gift)!

Apart from also getting a set of patterns and crochet guides for beginners, participants also get to choose their own vintage "Stitch by Stitch" magazine. This magazine was published in the 70s and 80s (pretty much vintage, and rare!). Each issue has 1 or 2 crochet patterns plus other patterns in knitting and sewing. What's good about their crochet segment in each issue is that they have visual guides on how certain crochet stitches are made for the featured crochet project.
